Make Me A Mixtape

Noodle Punk Mix

Wyatt.

Ok, this is my first mixtape for you guys! Swindle was on my dick for weeks to make this list for him (I don’t have a laptop anymore so he had to put this on mediafire).

Here are 11 songs from some of my favorite noodle bands. I use the term loosely and purely out of a lack of something better to call these bands as a whole. Some bands on here you may already know if this kind of stuff is your deal, but hopefully some you will not. Hell, if you already know all these songs, download this and listen to them. You’ll get to enjoy them again, but this time you’ll be thinking of me. Woop.

I think it would be cool if we started writing a little bit about each of the individual tracks from each mix. I’m going to attempt to set a precedent here.

Palmkite - Is any of you guys Mike?

This band is from New York. Last Fm says that they still play but only when some of the members are back home from college. So that’s neat. They have some newer material that I need to check out, but this song is a banger and I had some times with it.

Two Knights - Thomas Rabon: Rydel High Class President

TWO PIECE! This band gets automatic points for being a two piece, and this song fucking rules. This band is very new, and I hear these guys are little babies. They should totally tour up my way anyways.

Ape Up! - No Troy

I don’t know as much about this band as I should. This band has members of some other good bands, but I’m not entirely sure which ones.

Midwest Pen Pals - Because He’s There, And He Hates Me.

These guys did a band called Merchant Ships that was good, they don’t play anymore though. But how cool is this song?

Mountain Asleep - Postcards

This band was from Louisville and they were really crazy musicians. I got to see them twice. I listened to this song while running on a treadmill, and it helped out a lot.

Footnotes - Trey Parker

TWO PEICE AGAIN! This band makes me really happy. And they are from Philadelphia, a place where many other great bands that sound like this tend to be from. Now you know.

Pessoa - Wellohwell

I had never heard of this band until a week before they played in my town, and it really bums me that I didn’t have more of a chance to learn the lyrics. This recording is decent, but live it’s a totally different vibe, so good.

Street Smart Cyclist - Hoods Up

This is a classic band for this kind of stuff in my opinion. They have been gone for quite a while now, but they had a really big impact on a lot of bands. Once again my knowledge of who went on to be in what bands is shaky, but this band led to a band called Snowing that you should also check out. This is a fun fun fun song.

Spraynard - Jay’s Cafe

THIS BAND MAN. This song has some of the best lyrics ever, the first time I ever listened to it was in an on-campus computer lab, and I may have cried a little. It’s about punk. I’m a sop.

My Head In Clouds - Donut Run

This song/band fit in least with the other tracks, but you will like it. They were from Indiana, and they broke up. That’s about all I know. Some kid on the internet was very insistent that this band is not a Merchant Ships springoff band. NOW YOU KNOW.

Sirs - Starting At The Chin

This is possibly the most fun song on here, so we’ll go out on that vibe, hopefully. This band has a split with a band called Chalk Talk that you may also enjoy, go look for it. Enjoy!!
